The Montgomery Botanical Gardens is one of CCMGA’s major projects. There is a lot of work to be done before we can prepare to install plants. Therefore, MBG BOD has scheduled a Volunteer Work Day on the third Thursday of each month for CCMGA and other volunteers to come and participate in preparations for installing Phase I of the MBG design plan.
Assistance is needed, for all of you eager volunteers, to help with cleaning, pruning and refurbishing of the hedge of Camellias, Loropetalum, Abelia, etc. along the entrance and weeding the Azalea hedge.
Be sure to sign in with Cathy Maddox, MBG Project Chair, when you arrive. Jane McCarthy will be coordinating the work of volunteers on these work days. Please bring your tools (clippers, saws, trimmers, loppers, hand saws, shovels, rakes, battery powered trimmers, etc.) along with gloves, hats, sunscreen, insect repellent and water. You may also want to bring a folding chair for taking periodic breaks. Call Cathy Maddox if you have questions.
