The Board of Directors is hard working to produce a spectacular botanical gardens for the community of Montgomery and surrounding areas to enjoy.
During our last Strategic Plan in 2017-18, we updated our Mission and Vision to reflect what we have learned through this process after listening to you. Our Committees are diligently working to begin providing more educational, entertaining, social and family friendly activities for our members and visitors.
On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Montgomery Botanical Gardens, we thank you for your ardent support and participation in the celebrations in our Gardens at Oak Park for National Public Gardens Week May 13-19, 2019. The Montgomery Botanical Gardens at Oak Park joins more than 175 Gardens commemorating the week nationwide.
Montgomery went green, thanks to the RSA Center located at 501 Dexter Avenue, and offered 15 exciting events throughout the week. We had more than 500 visitors to the Montgomery Botanical Gardens for the sponsored events and the Celebration. We are growing with new additions to the Gardens weekly. The Lions are returning to the Gardens.
The work we do would not be possible without the generous support of our donors. We thank all of the individuals, corporations, clubs, organizations, and foundations that have supported and will continue to support us in the future.

The Tree ID tour through the Montgomery Botanical Gardens at Oak Park on Thursday during National Public Garden Week was very informative.
Besides the large number of well established Oaks, Pines and Cherry trees, we have planted Tulip Poplar, Oak, Dogwood, Chaste, Crepe Myrtle, and Magnolia trees this past year.
We were excited to have several home school children attend and learn about the various trees at the Garden. We look forward to having even more students in the garden this next school year.
If you would like to attend our next Tree Id walk, please consider a membership to be the first to know.
