We are so proud of Tyna and her many accomplishments.  Under her leadership this year, the Montgomery Botanical Gardens has hosted over twelve tours and educational offerings during the American Public Garden Association’s National Public Garden Week in May.   We have built with the leadership of an Eagle Scout an educational outdoor classroom for classes that we began holding monthly in August.  Some of the tours and classes include:  bird watching, tree identification, tomato growing, container planting, nature photography and fall gardening.

In August, the Haardt lions were installed in the gardens adding an historical element to the garden.

Currently, the Montgomery Botanical Gardens is in a contest with Lark Label to win $1000 of educational signage.  Please vote daily for us between now and August 31 at www.larklabel.com.

  1. I wish to be put on the invitation list for THE CLUB. I live in Hoover now. My first walk thru the park was 1978 with Edith Upchurch when we both worked for Parks and Recreation. If this does not work that is fine too. Joanna Bosko
