Second Thursday of the Month is Volunteer Day at the Montgomery Botanical Gardens at Oak Park

We had approximately 15 volunteers work in the garden this morning from 8:00 -10:30 am for our FIRST Monthly MBG Volunteer Day.

Volunteers cleaned up in general and particularly around classroom in preparation of the gardening class on Saturday.

Each volunteer brought bales of straw to donate and spread the straw where needed particularly under the boxwoods around the lions. They also cleaned the area in and around the greenhouse that was donated by the Capital City Master Gardeners.

Several volunteers worked in the air conditioned office stuffing envelopes for membership renewals.  Be sure to renew your membership when you get your letter.
