Storytelling in the Gardens

The AARP and the Board of Directors of the Montgomery Botanical Gardens sponsored Storytelling in the Gardens featuring Mr. Joseph Trimble, an acclaimed storyteller who made his Playhouse debut in ‘Sweat’. He is a co-founder of the Alabama Storytelling Association and a member of the Central Alabama Storytelling Guild and was the recipient of the 2013 Theatre Fellowship from the Alabama State Council on the Arts.

The attendees enjoyed the intriguing and unique style of storytelling by Mr. Trimble as well as the artistry of the storytelling designs. This session also involved a “show and tell” component. Participants wrote and told their stories. One participant brought the audience to tears as he re-lived and told his story. There were approximately 40 attendees.

Mr. Trimble has written several books including Marty and the Million Man March and Marty Makes a Difference.
